Diablo III - almost two years
Developer: Blizzard Entertainment
Platforms: PC, X360 and PS3
Patch: from May 15, 2012 to March 18, 2014
There was no shortage of great games in 2012, but it could rarely compete with Diablo III. The third part, which appeared a decade after the cult "deuce", caused tremendous emotions, and several hundred meters of queues lined up on the day of the game's debut. But the disappointment came in the first hours of the game. All because of the infamous bug 37 and servers that don't tolerate so much interest. What was supposed to be Blizzard's triumphant start ended in colossal failure. Add to this the problems with the launch of Diablo III on some configurations and problems with the achievement system - it is not surprising that the creators apologized to the fans a few days after the premiere and began to fix it.
Although bug 37 was fixed in less than a month, it took almost two years to fix it. An improved series of game balance patches and added missing content, which - as Blizzard representatives themselves admitted - was definitely not Diablo III. PvP mode was introduced only in January, but the auction houses got a little earlier. This option was an opportunity to exchange items for both real and virtual money. We had to wait several months for the creators to fix the bug. Finally, in September 2013, the closure of the auction houses was announced, which was also done on March 18, 2014. Exiting this function can safely be considered the last step in improving the basic version. So there was only a week left before the release of the popular Reaper of Souls application.
ArmA II - two and a half years
Developer: Bohemia Interactive
Platform: PC
Patch: from May 29, 2009 to December 22, 2011
A lot can be said about ArmA II, released in May 2009, but it definitely cannot be said that it is a failed product. However, it's hard not to regret that the publisher did not provide the developers from Bohemia Interactive with a few extra weeks (months?) for proper testing of the game and its optimization. Praised for the realism and scale of the event, a worthy successor to the Operation Flashpoint series, it has become one of the best war games. Unfortunately, since the release, many players have succumbed to the realism of a fictitious conflict, as many were disappointed with too high hardware requirements, broken scripts and ubiquitous errors. There were also times when mistakes simply prevented the completion of the task. These shortcomings were noted by almost all reviewers, claiming that for a full evaluation of ArmA II you will have to wait for corrections. лучшие онлайн казино на реальные деньги отзывы
